Frequently Asked Questions

Planning a new website can be an overwhelming task. There are a lot of steps involved – and along with that often comes a number of questions.

That’s why I’m here to walk you through the process, every step of the way. To begin with, here are some of the questions I’m most often asked.

Have a question that isn’t listed below? Please feel free to contact me directly, and I’ll be happy to help!

For general inquiries, please fill out the General Inquiry form on the contact page.

For project inquiries, please fill out the Quote Request form instead. Your responses to these questions will give me a good idea of what you are looking for in a new website so that I can prepare a detailed proposal for you.

I typically respond to email inquiries by the same or next business day. To ensure the quickest response time, I ask that you contact me through the General Inquiry / Quote Request form on this site.

The process starts with an inquiry through the Quote Request form. I’ll use the responses you provide to put together a detailed proposal for you, with several options to choose from. Once you receive the proposal, we can further discuss any questions you may have and decide on the best plan of action for your site.

After deciding that we are a good fit for each other, a signed contract and 50% deposit secure your spot on the development schedule.

Most projects are booked 4-6 weeks in advance. You’ll want to keep this in mind for planning purposes so that we can schedule your project as soon as possible.

There are six major steps in the website design and development process:

1. Information Gathering
2. Planning
3. Design
4. Development
5. Testing and Delivery
6. Maintenance

For additional information, please see this article outlining the Six Phases of the Website Design and Development Process.

There is no exact answer to this question, as the time varies based on the complexity of your project, how quickly you respond to requests for feedback, as well as how large your website is. For the most part, however, most sites are completed in 6-8 weeks.

For additional information, please see this article outlining the Typical Website Design and Development Milestones.

There isn’t a quick answer to this question, as there are so many variables involved.

For example, do you want to start with a pre-designed WordPress theme, or do you want to create a brand new design, specifically with your business in mind? Would you like me to add all of your provided content to the site for you, or do you prefer to add the content yourself? Is this a 5-page site or a 50-page site? Will you need any contact forms or other special features? There are too many unknowns without first having all of the details for your project.

You can get an idea of starting rates on the Services page. If you are ready to get started, please fill out the Quote Request form so I can send you a proposal with costs specific to your project.

Once we have started working on your website, you will get access to the Masood Ali Website. Here you will be able to view your website in progress, offer feedback for revisions, give approval at various stages, etc.

Once the project is complete, you will be able to submit both your final approval and the final payment on your invoice. At this point, the site will be migrated from the Client Studio to your own web server – making the site live and viewable to the public.
